Andrea Lucille Shin
is an established contemporary jewelry designer with over fifteen years of experience in her field. Her academic training as a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) coupled with a lifetime of influences from various forms of art is reflected in her imaginative work.
In 2000, she founded Andrea Lucille Designs in New York City. Drawing her inspiration from natural and organic forms, Andrea has developed and continues to work with three primary design concepts. She blends hand fabrication and casting to create these unique designs. In her work, Andrea combines polished and distinctively textured surfaces rendered in eighteen karat gold and sterling silver with classically beautiful stones and pearls. She designs her jewelry with the wearer in mind and creates art pieces that are original and identifiable without compromising her artistic beliefs. In discussing her work, Andrea comments, " To me, I reach the epitome of design achievement when my novel artistic concepts elict reactions of astonishment and intrigue; I know then that I have succeeded."
